About the Japanese Gastroenterological Association (JGA) Awards

The Japanese Gastroenterological Association recognizes selected outstanding clinical and basic papers written by JGA members, and presents them with the Association Awards with the aim of triggering academic activity and encouraging the young investigators among JGA members.

There are three types of Association Awards:

1. Award for Academic Excellence

This award is presented to between one and three top authors of original papers selected from among those published during the past year in Digestion, the official JGA journal, or those published in the other English journal after being presented at the Annual Meeting.

2. Best Case Report Award

This award is presented to one top author of a case report selected from among those published during the past year in Digestion, the official JGA journal, or those published in the other English journal after being presented at the Annual Meeting.
